YouTube BlogEngine.NET Extension

by percent20 11/4/2007 4:02:00 PM

I have created an extension that you basically add a link to a youtube video and it will add the video to play in your post. SO has an example here is a video of my Paintball gun. As of right now to use it.  Hit the HTML button in the menu above and past the url in there and make sure there is a space before and after the url then hit update.  As of right now it only does one video per post. Enjoy.

YouTube.cs (1.60 kb) (Updated :on 11-05-07)

Update 1- code to allow more characters before and after the url.

Just add to your extensions folder in App_Data folder.

Edit: To use this all you have to do is add the url to your page.  That is it. No special codes or anything JUST the url in your post.

BlogEngine.NET Extension for Del.icio.us

by percent20 10/27/2007 1:39:00 PM

Today I wrote an extension for BlogEngine.NET. Basically what it does is when you publish a new post it add a link to it on your del.icio.us bookmarks. I consider this an v0.5 release because there are still a few things I need to do. A roadmap for now is

1) Better comments/documentation
2) cleanup the code a bit
3) add error handling
4) delete the bookmark if post is deleted
5) make sure it doesn’t add another bookmark when you hit save after editing a post.

Other possibilities
1) config file
2) Suggestions from others
